I've Got The Magic: Talent Show Fun
This week my team and I participated in the Athlete Talent Show at KSU to benefit The Golden Soldiers. For those of you who don't know what that is; it is a non-profit group started by a Kennesaw Alumni. The Golden Soldiers started as an idea to spread the meaning of The Golden Rule to children with special needs. Each of the Kennesaw sports teams did a different act, some sang, some danced, and some did a comedy/dance act. However the Cheerleaders did a magic show. We were all dressed up with our black sparkly magician hats and performed little tricks as groups and then as our grand finale we made one of our volunteers disappear! Haha it was truly a blast and I enjoyed getting to do it with my team and for The Golden Soldiers. Here are some pics from the show.

While Eating a Bagel
Have you ever really sat and people watched? No i'm not talking like on the beach where you look at all the hideous swimsuits and old men in speedos, i'm talking people observe. As i'm sitting here eating my bagel waiting on my class to start I have been watching literally the hundred or so people grace through. Each person looks completely different. Some I know as acquaintances, some as close friends, and most I have never seen before in my life. But the cool thing is when I sit here and time passes I see the each one of these people are uniquely different with their own story.
Each one comes from a different place, a different family, and has a unique road that brought them to this very moment in time -which is pretty cool to think about. How many people do you pass on a daily basis- probably hundreds! And every person has a story, some may even be like yours, but no one will be the exact same. The idea that a million things had to happen in every person's life that passed in front of me today to get them (and myself) to that very point is incredible!

Like the Moon and the Stars
Being 5.5 hours away from home is not always the easiest thing in college, especially being a cheerleader and hardly ever having anytime to go home. The last time I was home was January and needless to say I have been missing my friends and family very much. But lucky for me my best friend is coming to see me tomorrow for the entire weekend! Of course it is going to be raining all weekend longggggggg. But what else would you expect from the lovely state of Georgia. When Gary Allen wrote Every Storm Runs Out of Rain he obviously has never lived in Kennesaw! Regardless of the crappy weather we are going to have a blast and I can't wait to catch up with her in person and not over the phone! Love you Katie! SEE YOU SOON!!
"It doesn't matter how far apart we are nowYou can add up all the miles in betweenIf you take a good look all around nowAll you see is you and meAnd we belong togetherLike the moon and stars and midnightWe'll be strong foreverBecause we belong together"

The Diamond Diploma
So I am completely obsessed with the whole idea of being the perfect housewife/stay-at-home mom one day. If it was socially acceptable to drop out of school and be one now I would not think twice about it. Everyone always tells me I am just a gold digger but that is not the case I just happen to be really good at housewife things like cooking, cleaning, crafting, and kids. One of my most favorite people on Twitter now has a blog! Her name is The Housewife (@DiamondDiploma). Literally I am obsessed with her blog and all the things her and other contributors have to say. So check it out!

How Time Flies
I have been in college for 8 months now! SAY WHAT! And time has went by so quickly. I have pretty much completed my first year of cheerleading and it was certainly a roller coaster experience but I really loved it! I conquered my first semester and surprisingly it was easier than high school. The friends I have made here are phenomenal and i've been very blessed to be part of such a great team and college athletics family. I spend most of my free time now baking something or just hanging out with friends. It's finally baseball season so much of the weekends and some weekdays are spent at the field supporting my friends. We've made road trips to UGA, Auburn, and USC which has been fun. I play intramural softball which keeps me entertained as well. Overall it has been a blast and I can't wait for the rest of the year.
